Using a combination of hot tap water, Bissell deep cleaning formula, suction, and a powerful cross-action brush, this lightweight and versatile home cleaning system loosens and removes the ground-in dirt embedded deep in the fibers of rugs and carpets. Ideal for homes with children and pets, the QuickSteamer deep cleaner is also a boon to those with allergies or asthma, who find that vacuuming doesn't sufficiently remove dust, dander, and other allergens from the home. Running on 4 amps of power and cleaning an 8-1/2 inch path, it also quickly and easily converts to a hard floor cleaner for added versatility. Measuring only 15-3/4 inches wide, 9 inches deep, and 44-1/4 inches tall, the lightweight QuickSteamer weighs in at less than 12 pounds, yet cleans as well as a full-size upright model. It's also a joy to use and maneuver, thanks to oversized wheels and an ergonomically-designed handle. After cleaning it stores ready-to-use and fits inside even the smallest closet. Value for money May 25, 2008
Good for basic household carpet cleaning. Easy to handle and operate. Removes dirt , but not deep stains.

got this hoping it would really clean the carpet, but it is clear it doesn't do much. we need to have a professional to come and take care of the really hard stains. it does come back with some pretty dirty water so I know it picking up something. no problem buying remanufactured. fast shipping as always. if had to do it over, would skip this product.

tried to get a stain up with it. wound up getting out my Hoover carpet cleaning spray and getting down on my hands and knees like normal. Then it came right up.

When I bought this, I thought it was going to have rotary brushes and in all honesty thought there was going to be a lot more to it than there was. When I received it and assembled it, I was a bit crestfallen that it was so... simple. Then I bucked up and used it.
I was genuinely amazed that it worked so well! I mean, it's not a one pass solution power cleaner, but it will totally dig out some dirt. I have cats with Urinary Tract problems and bladder troubles ( Manx Cats with no tails which can result in nerve damage ) so my carpets are a little rough. This thing is pulling it all out so much better than I thought it would. If I had this when I first moved in and used it on a more regular basis I can't even imagine what a HUGE money-saver it would be, but I have it now and I'm pretty happy about that.
It cleans VERY easy, and I've been using Vinegar and Lemon Juice with the regular solution as an additive to help remove pet odor stains and it's doing a pretty fantastic job, quick to get started and to clean up.
If you live in an Apartment with Carpets, this is a must have home item.

The product is excellent and we cleaned our entire living room in an hour. The results were great and the carpets look so much better!
