Amazon.com Review Designed for surface or ground-in dirt, the Bissell Little Green ProHeat multipurpose cleaner uses hot water and a cleaning agent to remove stains from upholstery, carpet, car seats, and more. A compact and efficient unit, the 9 amp Little Green disperses and sucks up cleaning solution in one swipe of the nozzle. Shampoo and clean water are stored in individual compartments, while the dirty-water recovery tank is completely separate. Bissell's built-in heater (optional during use) keeps hot water heated for maximum cleaning power. The unit features a built-in 5-1/2-foot hose with a solution trigger and a tough-stain tool for stubborn spots. The hose wraps around the base when not in use, and the 20-foot power cord stores on quick-release side hooks. The 48-ounce tanks are easy to remove, fill, and replace, and the machine can be stored ready to use. Bissell includes a one-year warranty and an 8-ounce bottle of cleaning solution to get you started. --Emily Bedard

Bissell Little green pro heat January 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
What a great little cleaner. The unit does what it is supposed to, clean up small messes. I was a little concerned after reading a few negative reviews, but that concern quickly disappeared after using the machine 5-10 times. The unit is much quieter than an earlier version I also own but just as or more effective when cleaning up pet stains as well as everyday messes around the house. I clean it after every use and it hasn't let me down. I believe cleaning is the key. Like anything else in life it has to be kept clean in order to function properly every time. What a great unit, it won't disappoint.
Good for small jobs. January 3, 2008 I bought this because I have an older dog who sometimes has accidents. It works pretty well on small areas and is simple to set up. Cleaning is a bit of a pain but a necessity. The clear containers make it easy to see how much solution is left and how much dirt comes up. The cleaning solution is a bit pricy but I haven't experimented with a concoction of my own and use the recommended Bissell cleaning solution.
Good for spills - but have to unclog sprayer often December 7, 2007 Have had this model for over 5 years. This works great for extracting spills. However, if you do not religiously run clean water through after you use it, the Bissell cleaning solution will solidify in the heater. We dismantled the whole unit after it quit spraying and found the heating element completely clogged with "soap". We have only used the solution specifically for this unit.
Bottom line: works great. Do not store solution in tank. After use, run clear water through system to clean and sprayer should stay patent!
Yup, it sucks... April 22, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
There's not much to get excited about here. It picks up stains and dirt on carpets. It does it fairly well. It even helps to clean the car seats. It doesn't generate world peace, but it generates hotter-than-usual cleaning solution and recaptures it with fairly strong suction. I had an old model, now I have the newer model.
Buy one if you have a cat or kids...
Get out Stains Fast! March 17, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a handy little unit. We used for cleaning up accidents from our puppy. The Little Green ProHeat was more thorough than cleaning by hand.
